Kirkland seeks amateur radio operators, offering class

Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) and Kirkland Emergency Communications Team (KECT) are seeking licensed radio operators to volunteer with the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in preparation for and response to community emergencies.

Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) and Kirkland Emergency Communications Team (KECT) are seeking licensed radio operators to volunteer with the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in preparation for and response to community emergencies.

KECT is also offering a free Amateur Radio License class from 7-9 p.m. on Oct. 11, 13, 18 and 20 with the exam session from noon to 2 p.m. on Oct. 22.

There is no charge for the class, but there is a $15 fee for the exam.
