A Kirkland-based river rafting company is sponsoring a white water trip down the Wenatchee River next month to benefit Hopelink, an Eastside nonprofit that services low income families and seniors.

On June 8, Rivers Inc. will travel with a group of local residents to the Bavarian-themed town of Leavenworth for a day trip down the Wenatchee, which is noted for having the largest waves in the state (sometimes over 10 feet high).

The trip will be suitable for a wide range of skills and ages, with a minimum age of 12, a press release said.

The minimum donation for the trip is $65 per person. All proceeds will directly benefit Hopelink.

Rivers Inc. will provide wetsuits, a hearty buffet style lunch, shuttle at the river site and all other necessary river equipment for the trip.

Pre-registration and payment are required. To register contact Rivers Inc. at riversinc@netzero.net or call (425) 822-5296.
