The City of Kirkland has an unexpired adult vacancy on its Salary Commission. The Salary Commission sets the salaries of the mayor and council members.

The Commission is made up of three citizens who are appointed for staggered terms by the mayor with the approval of the council. The appointment for the current vacancy ends on March 31, 2013.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the city limits of Kirkland. Applicants must not be an officer, official, or employee of the city, or an immediate family member.

Completed applications must be received by the City Clerk prior to 4 p.m. on Aug. 9. Interviews will be scheduled in mid-September.
