Kirkland police seek public’s help looking for drive-by shooting suspect

The Kirkland Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating, James Dinh Nguyen, a suspect in a drive-by shooting at a Kirkland apartment complex.

The Kirkland Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating, James Dinh Nguyen, a suspect in a drive-by shooting at a Kirkland apartment complex.

The Kirkland Police Department responded to a domestic violence 9-1-1 call at the Kirkland Heights Apartments at 1:50 a.m. on March 10 in the 13200 block of NE 133rd Street.

The victim reported that an ex-boyfriend had thrown a decorative brick through her bedroom window while she was asleep with her current boyfriend.  During the call, the victim reported hearing gunshots in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Kirkland police officers located .40 caliber bullet casings strewn throughout the parking lot. The victim’s current boyfriend’s vehicle had numerous bullet holes.

Also located were bullet holes in the adjacent apartment building which was occupied at the time of the shooting. Numerous attempts have been made to contact and locate Nguyen, who was born in 1990, with negative results. A $100,000.00 arrest warrant has been issued for Nguyen’s arrest.

The Kirkland Police Department is requesting assistance in locating the suspect.
