Shortly before 11 p.m. June 21, officers from the Kirkland Police Department responded to several 911 reports of shots fired in the Kingsgate area in the 11700 block of Northeast 150th Place.
Upon arrival, officers located three victims inside who were ages 17, 13, and 5. The victims received medical care and were transported to local hospitals. According to KPD, the children are in stable condition.
The three children were inside the residence at the time of the shooting, and the suspect is believed to have fired several rounds at the residence from the outside. According to KPD, the suspect then fled in a vehicle and is still at large.
KPD detectives are canvassing the area to identify witnesses, and are processing the scene for evidence. The department asks any witnesses or individuals with video footage to email case Detective Haas at AHaas@Kirklandwa.gov.
