Kirkland opens 99th Place to evening, early morning traffic

The city of Kirkland re-opened 99th Place Northeast on Jan. 6 to evening and early morning traffic.

The city of Kirkland re-opened 99th Place Northeast on Jan. 6 to evening and early morning traffic. The neighborhood street will be available to drivers from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m. until the city opens the street for 24-hour traffic, starting at 4 p.m. on Jan. 9.
The city, however, will close the road during daytime hours from Jan. 7-9 while Kirkland’s contractor rebuilds the sidewalk it removed to access the underground utilities.
The detour route will remain during those hours.
The road closure results from a corrugated metal pipe, which collapsed earlier in December and, as a result, flooded a few homes.
