Kirkland murder victim named

A 29-year-old man was shot to death on May 7 at a Kirkland house in the 9700 block of Northeast 138th Place.

Officers responded to the call around 7:30 p.m. where they found Franciso Mendoza shot in the house.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

A King County Medical Examiners ruling on May 16 found Mendoza died from multiple gunshot wounds but would not divulge additional details.

Police said in a statement they believe the murder may be drug related.

Auburn police found a stolen vehicle that may be tied to the victim earlier this week.

The Kirkland police statement said have information they are looking into regarding the murder they are not releasing due to the investigation.
