Kirkland Council to discuss budget during retreat March 23-24

As its first official step in the 2013-2104 Budget adoption process, the Kirkland City Council will hold its annual retreat to be given results from a recent community opinion survey, discuss possible 2012 ballot measures for roads and parks,

As its first official step in the 2013-2104 Budget adoption process, the Kirkland City Council will hold its annual retreat to be given results from a recent community opinion survey, discuss possible 2012 ballot measures for roads and parks, receive information on the city’s current and future financial outlook, and consider ideas on how to involve Kirkland residents in establishing service levels for the budget.

The first day of the retreat will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 23 and will be broadcast live on the city’s website, www.kirklandwa.gov/TV (Search: “on-demand”) and available for city residents to watch on Comcast Channel 21 and Frontier Communications Channel 31.  The second day of the retreat will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 24 and will not be televised.

The retreat will be held at Kirkland City Hall, Peter Kirk Room, 123 5th Avenue and the public is welcome to attend. The meeting agenda and associated informational reports are posted at www.kirklandwa.gov.
