Lake Washington Institute of Technology in Kirkland will host a free instructional event for a new degree at 6 p.m. on June 5.

The event will give attendees a detailed overview of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Transportation and Logistics Management curriculum, philosophy and how to begin the admission process.

This new bachelor’s degree program provides a pathway for current workers to upgrade their skills and move into management positions. The program begins in September of 2014.

LWIT is located at 11605 132nd Ave NE in Kirkland.
