If you’ve been thinking of donating your time and talent to a passion you have or want to learn flower arranging, fraud and identity prevention tips, and online genealogy, then you’ll want to attend the Viva Volunteers fair because it has all of that and more.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, the community can talk with more than two dozen nonprofit, educational and business organizations who offer volunteer opportunities and be entertained by zumba dance and healthy cooking demonstrations.

Mayor Joan McBride will kick off the event at 10 a.m. Informative presentations will be held throughout the event hosted by John Curley of KIRO Radio and Christie Johnson of KING TV.

Event information, a schedule and list of presentations, demonstrations, and exhibitors can be found at www.kirklandwa.gov/seniorcouncil. Light refreshments will be provided and door prizes awarded.

The event is sponsored by the Kirkland Senior Council. For more information, contact Dave Wagar, event chair, at 425-822-3737.
