Two women from Kirkland and Bellevue were charged with beating and stealing from a man who took pictures of them tagging a city sign on May 21 in Seattle.

Prosecutors charged Alexandra L. Seidman, 20, of Kirkland and Vivek K. Chaudhary, 22, of Bellevue, with first-degree robbery, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports.

The pair were defacing a no parking sign in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle at approximately 7:45 p.m. when the victim saw them from his apartment window, according to the report.

The victim went down to the street and took a photo of the women. Seidman and Chaudhary got in their car and drove into the victim. Seidman also chased the victim, punched the victim’s face and head and tried to steal his camera. She managed to steal his cell phone from his pocket.

The women left the scene when a witness said the police were coming.

Using the victim’s GPS-enabled cell phone, investigators later tracked Seidman and Chaudhary to Overlake Hospital. They were booked into King County Jail, each on a $10,000 bail.

The victim was treated at Highline Hospital with abrasions and multiple contusions to his face and thigh.
