Students at Kamiakin Middle School who demonstrate Cougar PRIDE (Peace, Respect, Integrity, Determination and Excellence) are given a “Paw Pass” and have their photo displayed on the school’s PRIDE wall. These students are also given a decal for their computer and a Paw Pride pencil. They are entered into a weekly drawing for fun prizes. Over 60 students have been awarded at least one Paw Pass so far this quarter.

In addition to Paw Passes, each quarter Kamiakin hosts a “Breakfast of Champions.” Each staff member has the opportunity to nominate one student who they feel demonstrates excellence and/or a large improvement during the quarter.
