The National PTA recently announced eight students from Washington state were award winners in the National PTA’s Reflections Program.

Juanita High School student Mary Cowan received an award of merit for her senior high film, “Capturing the Moments.”

The Reflections Program is an arts enrichment program created to give students in preschool through 12th grade the opportunity to create artwork based on a theme. The theme this year was, “The Magic Of A Moment.” In Washington state, 390 local PTA units supported the Reflections Program. Students created more than 9,000 works of art inspired by this theme.
