Big 5 Sporting Goods in the Totem Lake neighborhood will hold a gun safety and gun lock giveaway from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 14.

To encourage safe gun storage, especially for homes with children and teens, Safe Kids Eastside, Seattle Children’s and LOK it Up, are giving away free lock boxes and trigger locks and hands-on training. Supplies are limited. First come, first served. Recipients must be present to receive item. One free lock box or trigger lock per person. Maximum two items per household. Recipient must be 18 or older.

Big 5 is located at 12520 120th Ave NE in Kirkland.
