Kirkland school kids crowding the theaters to see Selma for Black History Month. That’s the vision of Google.org, which is why they’ve just announced that they’re working with DonorsChoose.org to pay for 6th-12th grade classes to take their students to see Selma, the powerful movie on the civil rights movement.
Teachers from Kirkland can visit DonorsChoose.org, create a field trip project to see Selma, and bring their students in to see this important movie at no cost. Google.org will cover costs for tickets and transportation, as part of its effort to empower the next generation of dreamers.
