Through new signage, visitors will know that free parking at Kirkland City Hall is available after 5 p.m. on weekdays and anytime on weekends.

The parking lot, located at 123 5th Ave, is just a short walk to Central Way, Park Lane, Marina Park and other downtown destinations.

New signs have already been installed at City Hall and by July 30, updated directional signs will be added around downtown to help direct drivers to additional parking options.

Other recent changes include two-hour parking on Market Street from Central Way to 4th Street, four-hour parking along Market Street from 4th Street to 6th Street and effective July 6, expansion of paid hours at the Lake Street and Central Way Lot to 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a four hour time limit. These modifications will allow for more turnover, thus providing more parking.
