Imagine Housing, a non-profit organization providing affordable housing in East King County, recently held a grand opening of its newest building, Francis Village.

Located in Kirkland’s Totem Lake Neighborhood, Francis Village will offer permanent affordable housing for 45 homeless and 15 low-income residents living in the Eastside community. Of the 45 homeless individuals and families, 16 will be homeless youth and young adults between the ages of 18-24 who are directly referred by Friends of Youth.

This housing will be the first permanent home for these young adults exiting the foster care system or seeking stable housing while they build long-term stability.

Additionally, 10 of the apartment homes will be occupied by formerly homeless veterans, seven apartments will house homeless men coming from Congregations for the Homeless and two apartments will be specifically reserved for survivors of domestic violence, as referred by Eastside Domestic Violence Program.

This is Imagine Housing’s 12th affordable housing community in East King County and makes a total of 425 affordable apartments offered by Imagine Housing throughout Bellevue, Issaquah, Mercer Island, Kirkland and Redmond.

Francis Village is located at 12601 N.E. 124th St., Kirkland.
