Commuters should expect traffic delays due to the Kirkland Half Marathon Run/Walk and Mother’s Day 5K run/walk event on Sunday, May 9. 97th Avenue N.E. from Juanita Drive N.E. to N.E. 119th Way will be closed from 6 a.m. until approximately 12 p.m.

The Kirkland Half Marathon hosts 3,000 athletes during the event, which includes a Kids Dash, 5K run/walk and Half Marathon run/walk. For event information, go to www.promotionevents.com/Kirkland.
