Construction crews have begun excavation work to install a new water main under Third Street between Park Lane and Kirkland Avenue. Excavation will start at Park Lane and Third Street and will continue south along Third Street toward Kirkland Avenue near the Heathman Hotel.

This work is being performed in cooperation with the City of Kirkland in order to reduce multiple construction impacts on Third Street. Water main work is expected to impact service to some nearby residents and businesses. Advance notice for any service disruptions will be provided to impacted customers by Kirkland’s Public Works Department.

The excavation work follows saw cutting and exploratory drilling performed this week and last week in preparation for work on the water main. The northbound lane on Third Street will continue to remain open to traffic as the work is being performed.
