For the third consecutive year, readers of 425 magazine selected EvergreenHealth as the best hospital and health system. The annual “Best of 425” poll, published in 425’s upcoming May 2015 issue, recognizes businesses and organizations that are voted as the most preferred by local consumers.

EvergreenHealth’s network of two hospitals, medical staff and 250-provider medical group, urgent care centers, home care and 24-hour Nurse Navigator and Healthline, has also been recognized among the best hospitals in the nation by Healthgrades and U.S. News & World Report for its quality and clinical outcomes, and for the health system’s patient-centered approach to care.

“While we don’t intentionally pursue awards, they are meaningful recognitions, especially when coming directly from those we serve,” said CEO of EvergreenHealth Bob Malte. “When our community selects us as the best choice for health care, and three years in a row amidst significant competition, it helps demonstrate that our vision to ‘create an inclusive community health system that is the most trusted source for health care solutions’ is working.”

During its 43-year history, EvergreenHealth has grown alongside its Eastside community, expanding the breadth and depth of its services across the Puget Sound region and beyond, including the recent addition of EvergreenHealth Monroe in Snohomish County. As the community’s health care needs have grown, the system has grown with it, expanding access to quality health care services.

“Our community and our patients have more choice than ever when it comes to selecting a health care partner and we are honored to be recognized once again for exceptional care,” said Al DeYoung, EvergreenHealth Board Chair. “Our team of 3,500 physicians, nurses and staff work hard every day to fulfill our purpose of improving the health and well-being of every life we touch. Each day we try to get better, and we are never satisfied with the status quo.”
