About 100 martial arts students from Elite Martial Arts of Kirkland, who range in age from 3 to 50, and master instructor Rocky Abild, owner of the school, demonstrated their martial arts skills during a belt promotion and awards ceremony at Sykmania! Trampoline Center on March 2.

Abild was born and raised in Kirkland, is a graduate of Juanita High School and started Elite Martial Arts in 1999 as a way to give back to the community and to share a family friendly, self-esteem building, healthy sport with youths.

During the event, Abild emceed the awards presentation, and each age group performed skills demonstrations. Participants also jumped on the Skymania! trampolines and participated in trampoline dodgeball.
