Between April 15-21, the Kirkland Police Department reported 613 traffic violations (nine DUIs), 35 alarm calls, 18 car accidents, six noise complaints, 11 thefts, four car prowls, nine domestic violence calls, five calls for harassment, six acts of fraud, 11 calls of a disturbance, six calls for illegal substances and 14 calls of civil disturbance. At least 46 people were arrested.

April 21

Warrant arrest: 4:40 p.m., 123 Fifth Ave. A 22-year-old King County man came into the Kirkland Police station to provide a written statement regarding a traffic collision he was involved in. The man was then arrested on his one Redmond and two Bellevue warrants.

April 19

Disorderly conduct: 5:45 p.m., 80 Kirkland Ave. An intoxicated 30-year-old Soap Lake man was arrested for disorderly conduct after grabbing the manager and eating other people’s food. The suspect refused officer commands to leave and had to be physically removed from the establishment. Once outside the man became increasingly agitated and began kicking at the plastic curtain windows on the restaurant. The man would not calm down once placed in a patrol car and was moved to a corrections van for transport.

April 18

Domestic: 11:30 p.m., 10900 block of 115th Court N.E. A woman called Kirkland Police to report that her 36-year-old boyfriend became physically violent with her. The man was upset with the woman and allegedly twisted her wrist and threw her to the bed. The man was arrested for assault.

April 17

Theft: 1 p.m., 8629 120th Ave. N.E. A 54-year-old Kirkland female was arrested for shoplifting an Olay Professional Face Cream package worth $40. The woman stated that she was going to her car to get cash for the item.

Domestic: 5:10 p.m., 9600 block of N.E. 128th Street. A 22-year-old Lynnwood woman called the KPD to report that her 57-year-old father had slapped her mother in the face. The wife confirmed the incident upon contact and the man was arrested, refusing to answer officer’s questions.

Malicious mischief: 12:40 a.m., 111 Central Way. A 28-year-old Kirkland man was arrested for malicious mischief and criminal trespass after he kicked the front door, breaking out a window at the Wilde Rover. The man was upset because he was asked to leave after passing out in his chair. The man provided a blood alcohol level of .225.

April 16

DUI: 1:26 a.m., 200 Third Street. A 20-year-old Sea-Tac man was arrested for DUI.

Domestic: 5:01 p.m., 5400 113th Place N.E. A 23-year-old Kirkland woman and a 20-year-old Kirkland man got into an argument. The woman physically assaulted the man and was arrested for domestic violence.

April 15

DUI: 2:23 a.m., 300 Central Way. A 24-year-old Kirkland man was contacted after he was observed driving down Central Way then parking abruptly at the White Swan. He performed poorly on the field sobriety test and submitted a blood alcohol content of .183.

Malicious mischief: 2:40 p.m., 300 Central Way. A 42-year-old King County man was stopped in traffic on Third Street when his girlfriend’s 17-year-old son rushed to the driver side of the truck and attempted to assault the man. The boy also threatened to kill the man. When the man attempted to drive the truck away the boy hit the rear passenger door causing damage. The boy was later arrested.

Domestic: 4:29 p.m., 200 Main Street. A verbal domestic dispute occurred between a man and a woman over being evicted from Tent City.
