Between Dec. 3-9, the Kirkland Police Department reported 569 traffic violations (nine DUIs), 20 traffic accidents, eight noise complaints, 17 thefts, six domestic violence calls, 21 alarm calls, seven motor vehicle prowls, nine burglaries, 11 disturbances, four cases of fraud and two harassment calls. At least 36 people were arrested.

Dec. 9

Assault: 10:23 p.m., 1900 block of Fifth Place. A 50-year-old Kirkland man was arrested for domestic violence.

Theft: 12:36 p.m., 8629 120th Ave. N.E. A 35-year-old Granite Falls man was arrested for stealing two watches from Costco valued at $79.98. The man attempted to walk out of the store with them in his pockets.

Dec. 7

Illegal substance: 12:45 a.m., 11516 124th Ave. N.E. Three subjects were observed smoking marijuana outside Danny’s Pub. All three subjects were cited and released for possession and one provided 2.29 grams, which was entered into evidence.

Assist: 2:33 p.m., 123 Fifth Ave. A Kirkland woman was arrested in the parking lot of the Kirkland Police Department for having an open container of alcohol in her car.

Dec. 5

Theft: 3:13 a.m., 211 Parkplace Center. A 14-year-old Kirkland girl was caught shoplifting breakfast cookies and a ham and cheese sandwich from QFC. The sandwich was recovered but the cookies were never found. The girl was also highly intoxicated and provided a blood alcohol sample of .161. She was booked and later released to her grandmother.

Dec. 4

Warrant arrest: 12:40 a.m., 123 fifth Ave. A 25-year-old Bothell man was arrested on his three driving with a suspended license warrants.

Theft: 3:30 p.m., 8629 120th Ave. N.E. A 58-year-old woman was arrested at Costco for attempting to steal a Michael Kor purse valued at $293.45.

Dec. 3

Assault: 4:03 p.m., 12700 N.E. 124th Street. A 21-year-old Bellevue man assaulted two Immigration and Naturalization officers when they attempted to take him into custody for other charges. The man was eventually arrested later that night in Bellevue.

Malicious Mischief: 2 p.m., 400 fourth Ave. A 17-year-old Kirkland boy returned home with friends and when his mother suggested that he go sleep somewhere else for not abiding by the rules the boy punched the door, causing damage and then left.
