Construction underway for South Kirkland Park & Ride parking garage

Construction of a 250 stall parking garage for transit riders is underway at the South Kirkland Park and Ride.

Construction of a 250 stall parking garage for transit riders is underway at the South Kirkland Park and Ride. When complete in 2014, the park and ride facility will include two additional mixed-use residential buildings with ground floor commercial uses in the southwest corner of the property.

For the next six months access to the park and ride will be from Northeast 38th Place and the bus loading area is temporarily located on the west side of the parking lot. Construction disturbance may affect traffic flow along Northeast 38th Place and 108th Avenue Northeast.

During construction parking is limited at the facility. To avoid parking on residential streets and adjacent properties, transit riders are asked to park at alternative locations including: Northwest University office building at 6710 108th Ave. N.E. (during the day), Houghton Park and Ride at Northeast 70th Place and I-405, and St. Luke’s Lutheran Church Park and ride in Bellevue (south of SR-520).
