The following is a release from the city of Kirkland:
Finn Hill residents and businesses are encouraged to attend a second workshop to help develop the first Neighborhood Plan for the area that will be integrated with the City’s Comprehensive Plan. Input will help to develop goals and policies for how to guide future growth of the neighborhood in the areas of zoning, transportation, sensitive areas and other topics. The workshop will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Finn Hill Middle School Commons, 8040 NE 132nd Street, Kirkland. Persons interested in attending are asked to register at https://finnhillneighborhoodworkshop.eventbrite.com to ensure adequate refreshments. Workshop check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. Input is also sought through an online survey located at kirklandwa.gov/finnhillsurvey. The survey is available throughWednesday, November 11 and the results will be shared at the workshop.
The online survey seeks ideas and opinions on future amenities and events people would like to experience in Finn Hill, what improvements to parks and recreation activities should happen in the future and how to improve mobility and connectivity within the neighborhood. The survey also asks about housing type, commercial centers and building scale and placement.
