City of Kirkland to close 98th Avenue Northeast at the Forbes Creek Bridge

The city of Kirkland will close 98th Avenue Northeast at the Forbes Creek Bridge later this week, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for up to seven nights.

The following is a release from the city of Kirkland:

The city of Kirkland will close 98th Avenue Northeast at the Forbes Creek Bridge starting Monday, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for up to seven nights. The closure is because the city’s contractor has to mount bearings on the bridge’s pilings that will enable it to withstand moderate earthquakes.

Cyclists and pedestrians can still cross Forbes Creek via the Juanita Bay Causeway.
