Since September 2013, the city of Kirkland has been evaluating possible alternative sites to replace the pool at Juanita High School, also known as the Juanita Aquatic Center. The Lake Washington School District has deemed the pool as nearing its useful life.

In January, the Kirkland City Council approved further study of three sites, including North Kirkland Community Center Park, Juanita Beach Park and South Norway Hill Park.

City officials are encouraging residents to take a survey online to give their opinion. The survey will be available through March 6. Results will be presented to Park Board on March 19 and Kirkland City Council on April 1.
