The city of Kirkland Public Works Department is conducting a detailed survey of sidewalks and ADA (Americans With Disabilities Act) ramps in the public right of way within the city limits.

City staff and contractors will be collecting data on these features during the months of July through September. This project is a priority of the City Council’s Public Works, Parks, and Human Services Committee, and is expected to produce a comprehensive condition assessment of public walkways.

This in turn will enable better decision making about street infrastructure maintenance and repairs, as well as inform better project design for future Kirkland development.

For more information on this project, please call the city’s Public Works Maintenance Center at (425) 587-3900.
