Kirkland’s Juanita Beach reopened Wednesday.

“Recent samples have had low fecal coliform concentrations,” reads a King County alert.

Seattle-King County Public Health Department will sample the beach again Monday.

Juanita Beach Park, located at 9703 NE Juanita Drive, closed for swimming on Aug. 10 after testing revealed high levels of fecal coliform bacteria in the lake.

“Triplicate sampling conducted multiple times over the previous two weeks have indicated that the level of the bacteria had dropped significantly,” according to the City of Kirkland release. “Based on the latest results, county health officials have deemed water conditions safe for humans and animals.”
