22-year-old arrested for shoplifting at Bartell Drugs | Kirkland Police Blotter for Aug. 3 – 8

Tuesday, Aug. 8

Vehicle Prowling/Theft: A homeless suspect was found in possession of property stolen during a nearby prowl on the 9700 block of 117th Place Northeast. Police recovered a folding knife, cell phone and cash.

Monday, Aug. 7

Minor Alcohol Possession: Police were investigating reports of someone smashing car windows when they contacted a 19-year-old in possession of three bottles of vodka and a bottle of whisky on the 12000 block of Holmes Point Drive Northeast. Police cited the 19-year-old and destroyed the alcohol.

Saturday, Aug. 5

Vehicle Theft: A suspect was arrested after being found in possession of a stolen vehicle on the 14500 block of Juanita Woodinville Way Northeast.

Friday, Aug. 4

Vehicle Prowling: A suspect was arrested after being caught in a vehicle on the 400 block of 5th Ave. West. The suspect admitted to stealing loose change from two other vehicles and pointed them out. They were all unlocked and the suspect had stolen $12.50 in quarters.

Thursday, Aug. 3

Assault Domestic Violence: An unnamed man slapped his wife with enough force to knock her earring off. The man was arrested on the 12700 block of Northeast 92nd Place and booked into Score Jail.

Theft/Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act (VUCSA): An unnamed 22-year-old was contacted after Bartell Drug’s employees reported that he dropped a large bag of Marijuana in their store. The suspect admitted to shoplifting from Bartell’s and dropping a bag containing .76 pounds of Marijuana. Additionally, the suspect had cocaine and Alprazolam bars. Police charged the suspect with Shoplifting and VUCSA because he was in possession of numerous small baggies which demonstrated intent to sell.
