In Snow White, the Queen is decidedly unhappy. With Snow White in the picture, the Queen is no longer the “most beautiful in all the land.” Hilarity ensues when poor Snow White, now banished from the kingdom, meets the Dorf Family – seven brothers – played by three silly actors. Laugh and sing as the Dorf brothers keep Snow White safe and out of the Queen’s way.

Tickets to Snow White are $10 for all patrons over 1 year of age and can be purchased at www.storybooktheater.org. This show is best for ages 3-10. And will run in Kirkland at the Kirkland Performance Center at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on April 26-27 and May 3-4.

The Secret Garden, based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, is set in the early years of the 20th century. It tells of 11 year-old Mary Lennox, an English girl born and raised in the British Raj, who is orphaned by a cholera outbreak. Sent away from her home in India to England to live with a reclusive uncle, Mary suddenly faces a very different life. With the help of a young gardener on her uncle’s estate, Mary brings new life to a neglected garden and new love to the lives of those around her. It is recommended for ages 9 and up and has a running time of approximately 2.5 hours. Adult tickets are $14, while students and seniors are $12. All Gala tickets are $18. Twelfth Night is perhaps William Shakespeare’s finest comedy; a tribute to the restorative power of love. Viola, the shipwrecked heroine, lands on the shore of Illyria and, disguised as a page, searches for her lost brother. Countess Olivia mourns the loss of her own brother. When the lovely Countess meets the handsome young page, desire banishes grief in this intoxicating comedy. It is recommended for ages 9 and up and has a running time of approximately two hours. Adult tickets are $14, while students and seniors are $12. This show is double cast and all performances are at the Studio East Mainstage Theater located at 11730 118th Ave NE in Kirkland. There are just four performances: 7:30 p.m. on April 4; 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on April 5; and 2:30 p.m. on April 6.

Peter Pan, is the magical story about a boy who doesn’t want to grow up so he spends his life in Neverland battling the pirates and Indians. When Peter brings the Darling children to Neverland with him, he is finally able to defeat his foe, Captain Hook, and befriend the Indian chief. This classic tale of adventure is recommended for ages 5 and up and has a running time of approximately 2.5 hours. Adult tickets are $14, while students and seniors are $12.
