The Splash, Pedal, n’ Dash Kids Triathlon at Juanita Beach gives youth, ages 3 through 12, a chance to participate in a triathlon and have bragging rights.

The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14 and begins at 11 a.m. at Juanita Beach Park, 9703 NE Juanita Drive. The Kids Triathlon includes a 50-yard swim/splash, a half mile bicycle ride and a quarter-mile run.

Pre-registration is available on line at www.kirklandparks.net, course code 39209. Registration fee is $30 per participant and includes a swim cap, T-shirt, and participation ribbon. The race is non-timed, non-competitive and an excellent opportunity for youth to experience the sport of triathlon.  For event information, go to www.kirklandwa.gov/youthathletics.

This year’s race is put on by the city of Kirkland Parks & Community Services Department and Kirkland Children’s Dentistry. Bicycle storage is available on site.
