Northshore Senior Center to hold chronic pain education program in Kirkland and Bothell

The Northshore Senior Center will hold a free six-week educational program on Living Well With Chronic Pain.

The center will hold two sessions of the program. The first will be offered from 1-3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays from Nov. 1 through Dec. 6 in the conference room of the Health and Wellness Building at 10212 E. Riverside Dr. in Bothell.

The second series will be held at the Peter Kirk Community Center at 352 Kirkland Ave. in Kirkland. This series will be held from 1-3:30 p.m. on Fridays from Jan. 19 through Feb. 23, 2018.

The program covers various topics including techniques for better pain control, ways to deal with fatigue and stress, more effective ways to use medications, starting an activity program and meeting goals and making choices about treatment. Attendees do not have to be seniors to attend these workshops.
