The Baudboys, an eight-voice a cappella group made up entirely of Microsoft employees, return to Olympia’s Washington Center for the Performing Arts on March 7 as hosts of the Pacific Northwest Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival. After half a decade participating in the event, they’ll finally have an album available for their fans.

The group dedicated itself to recording and producing an album in time for this year’s event after winning first place overall at the 2008 event.

The album, “Hello World,” features the musicianship and geek-humor that has been a staple for the Baudboys for many years. Despite twenty years of concerts around the Seattle area and the recent success of their geek romance anthem, “Gonna Make You Happy Tonight,” this marks the first commercial release in the group’s history.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts Web site, washingtoncenter.org. For more information on the Baudboys and their new album “Hello World,” go to baudboys.com.
