Memories in the Making art project

The staff from each of Aegis of Kirkland’s Washington Life’s Neighborhood communities recently completed the Memories in the Making (MIM) training with the Seattle Alzheimer’s Association.

MIM is a breakthrough art therapy program. Aegis is among the very first care professionals to participate in this training. This life-affirming program offers a way for residents with dementia to communicate what they are thinking and feeling.

Each year, the local Alzheimer’s Association office will select pieces of art from Áegis Living communities to be included in a yearly exhibition to raise dollars to fund research and community assistance programs throughout the Seattle area and beyond.
