¡MAGNIFICO!, a concert in support of the new Cosmopolitan Pops Orchestra album with acclaimed trumpeter Bobby Medina, will premier music from their latest CD at 7:30 p.m. at the Kirkland Performance Center in Kirkland on Oct. 3.

By uniting the charisma and vibrancy of Latin Jazz and the elegance of a 23-member pops orchestra, ¡MAGNIFICO! will feature uniquely blended sounds from Mexico, Argentina and beyond.

For this very special evening, Medina has assembled a powerful group of international talent that originally came together at the beginning 2014 to work on a unique CD project. Medina has reunited this wonderful group of musicians from the USA, and South America to come together once again to perform the music created for the CD Live and in person.

“The music on the release is not exclusively jazz, Latin or symphonic but something in between these genres creating a truly unique and sophisticated sound,” said Medina, International Entertainer and Cosmopolitan Pops Orchestra leader.

Medina has apprenticed with such luminary artists as Ray Charles, Mel Tormé, Poncho Sanchez, Eddie Cano and Mel Brown among others and is delivering his own brand of Latin influenced jazz to audiences in America and Europe. “I took what I learned from the greats and blended it that with the music I listened to while growing up and created a sound that appeals to people of many cultures and backgrounds,” Medina said.
