Kirkland middle presents ‘Elf: The Musical Jr.”

There will be three performances: 7 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Kirkland Middle School’s Panther Playhouse students will present their production of “Elf: The Musical Jr.” on the Lake Washington High School ( 12033 N.E. 80th St. in Kirkland) stage this weekend.

There will be three performances: 7 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The musical is about one boy’s quest to find his true identity. “Elf” is the story of an orphan who climbs into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. This would-be elf is given the name Buddy and raised by elves happily unaware of his human identity until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities force him to face the truth.

Tickets are $10 at door or $9 online at www.pantherplayhouse.org.
