Following their 2009-12 blockbuster performances that thousands attended in Seattle’s Pike Place Market, Seattle’s favorite Beatles cover band, Crème Tangerine, will once again celebrate the anniversary of The Beatles’s last performance famously known as “The Rooftop Concert” at the Copacabana Café.

In what has become an annual tradition in Seattle, Crème Tangerine will perform songs from that concert, as well as Fab Four favorites and more at noon on Friday, Jan. 25 on the rooftop balcony of the Copacabana Café in the Pike Place Market, at 1520 ½ Pike Place. Seattle Weekly readers voted that location as the “Best Rooftop Balcony in Seattle.”

Crème Tangerine’s concert will take place on the last Friday of January at noon – the same day and time The Beatles’s last performance took place on the rooftop of Apple Records in London in 1969.

“It’s been so cool these past few years to see the streets of Pike Place Market packed shoulder-to-shoulder with people celebrating the music of the Beatles on the last Friday of January – this music truly is a common bond people share together,” said Jeff Lockhart, drummer of Crème Tangerine. “We look forward to this year’s show to be our best ever! We’re going to perform this fun event for free in Seattle to give people a reason to take a moment to rock out, smile, and have a little fun on winter lunchtime. We hope people will come out and enjoy it all!”

This year’s performance will highlight the hunger relief work of Northwest Harvest. Northwest Harvest will be on hand to receive canned food and donations in their work to battle hunger across Washington state.

Crème Tangerine is a dynamic five-piece band from Seattle that performs the music of The Beatles for thousands each year. Rather than focusing on the personalities or look of the Beatles, Crème Tangerine focuses on performing their beloved music live for all to enjoy.

Their performances have included The Beatles most recognized hits as well as different eras of the Beatles music and “the White Album” and “Abbey Road” in their entireties. Their high energy, quality performances appeal to those already familiar with and new to the music of The Beatles.
