Kirkland Arts Center presents CatVidFest

The Kirkland Art Center will present three screenings of the Walker Art Center’s new 2014 Internet Cat Video Festival reel, now being shown in cities around the country.

The Kirkland Art Center will present three screenings of the Walker Art Center’s new 2014 Internet Cat Video Festival reel, now being shown in cities around the country. This is a chance to see the brand new 2014 CatVidFest compilation in an intimate venue before it screens in Seattle.

The videos in this year’s reel were hand picked by Seattle’s own Will Braden, creator of the Henri, le Chat Noir series which has racked up over 13 million views on YouTube. Will Braden will be back to host KAC’s CatVidFest again and give a short interactive presentation before showing the reel. He’ll also be sticking around after to sign copies of Henri’s 2015 Calendar and his best-selling book, “Henri, le Chat Noir: Musings of an Angst- Filled Cat.”

Tickets are $25 each, and space is limited to 100 seats per showing. The screenings include: 7-10 p.m., Jan. 30; 3-6 p.m., Jan. 31; and 7-10 p.m., Jan. 31.

Ticket price include admission to the event, light snack, beverages and a chance to see KAC’s exhibition Imaginature, featuring 20 local artists.

Doors open 15 minutes prior to the event’s start time and free street parking is available. All ages are welcome.
