The Kirkland Cultural Council, the group that advises the City Council on arts related issues, is seeking a volunteer to join a committee currently planning for Kirkland’s future arts and cultural needs.

The Kirkland Cultural Council, the group that advises the City Council on arts related issues, is seeking a volunteer to join a committee currently planning for Kirkland’s future arts and cultural needs.

The Council is looking for a citizen to join its “20/20 Vision” Steering Committee, which is dedicated to: maximizing community involvement in the arts; developing a vision statement that will guide the City’s investments in public art; enhancing tourism and economic development through the arts; and outline strategies for resource development and fundraising.

The estimated commitment for the position is 8-12 meetings from June 2008 through June 2009, with the first meeting scheduled for July 14.
