Beware of bicyclists during 7 Hills of Kirkland event

Commuters should use extra caution due to the 7 Hills of Kirkland cycling event to be held on city streets on May 29.

Riders will be present on roadways from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event begins and ends at Marina Park. A route map is posted online at kirklandwa.gov/special events.

Event organizers anticipate that up to 1,500 cyclists will participate in the annual event, which supports Attain Housing’s efforts to assist individuals and families who are caught in homelessness crises.

Event goers are encouraged to carpool and plan for parking in advance. For public parking, including the Kirkland Municipal Garage, go to kirklandwa.gov/parking. For bus transportation, go to tripplanner.kingcounty.gov.
