Bellydance Superstars come to KPC Oct. 11

Miles Copeland’s world-acclaimed Bellydance Superstars return to Kirkland Performance Center at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11. Tickets are $30-$35.

Bellydance Superstars, the world’s only professional American belly dance troupe, formed in 2002 under the direction of legendary impresario Miles Copeland, former manager, agent and record label chief of The Police, The Sex Pistols, REM, The Moody Blues and Blondie. The troupe has extensively toured North America and Europe with over 500 performances, spanning 18 countries. They have danced with Regis and Kelly, performed at Lollapalooza, and been seen on more than 60 television shows by over 100 million viewers worldwide. Comprised of North America’s best known and most sought-after performing dancers practicing the art, Bellydance Superstars exhibit an intoxicating spectacle with breathtaking performances and mesmerizing choreography which has garnered international acclaim for this ancient art form in mainstream audiences.

BDSS dancer Moria Chappell will also offer individualized instruction in a one-hour Master Class: Tribal Fusion with Moria on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 3:30 p.m. in Seattle at Vision Belly Dance Studios. For dancers new to tribal fusion, or for those who are looking for new fusion combinations and fresh inspiration, Moria will methodically, comprehensively and creatively teach drills, patterns and choreography, helping dancers discover and remember their new found fusion expression.
