Third annual Viva Volunteers! fair Oct. 24 | Letter

People often talk about giving back to the community where they live, but sometimes it’s hard to find just how to do that. Viva Volunteers! is a chance to find volunteer opportunities that are worthwhile and satisfying.

People often talk about giving back to the community where they live, but sometimes it’s hard to find just how to do that. Viva Volunteers! is a chance to find volunteer opportunities that are worthwhile and satisfying.

The third annual Viva Volunteers! fair is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 24 at Peter Kirk Community Center showcases about 25 organizations that need your help. You can talk to people who have been involved in volunteer activities, including staffing community events, caring for animals, building houses and serving neighbors who need help. It’s a free event with door prizes, special topic presentations, body assessment screenings and complimentary snacks.

Presented by Kirkland Senior Council, the fair offers volunteer experiences to people of all ages through organizations that serve all ages.
