We would like to thank the residents of Kirkland for their generous support of the new Eastside shelter for women and families experiencing homelessness. The groundbreaking for this new shelter (located near Salt House Church) was held on April 10, with Mayor Penny Sweet and King County Executive Dow Constantine commending the city’s government and citizens for their endless support.

While the new shelter is being built (projected opening Summer 2020), the existing day centers and overnight emergency shelters will continue to support the women and families experiencing homelessness on the Eastside. The current shelters are in serious need of donated meals through the summer months.
