On Feb. 22 and 23, members of the Kirkland Youth Council held a food drive for Hopelink at the Red Apple Market in Bridle Trails.

During the two-day drive, the teens collected 1,639 pounds of food and $218 in cash donations.

The purpose of this note is to thank the very kind and generous gentleman who started a tab at the espresso stand for the kids. The hot drinks were so very much appreciated on what was a very cold day for the volunteers. Thank you again for your thoughtfulness!
