My sister Lisa Thompson is the honoree for the Swedish SummeRun this year and we had an incredible event yesterday filled with joy and tears of those missed. Team MaryAnn was out marching strong and I enjoyed talking to many of their team members. I wanted to thank you for running multiple articles regarding MaryAnn, her journey and the fact that her legacy of not only reaching, but surpassing her $50,000 goal was fulfilled. We need more reporters like you who will spend time to raise awareness and provide follow-up for things affecting our community. Your information on Ovarian Cancer will help raise awareness for many women and hopefully will help women to be proactive with their health and have cancer detected earlier. And hopefully the articles will also inspire others to give to a cause that can profoundly affect all of us. Thank you!
