Offended by male homosexuals calling partner “wife” | Letter

My husband and I have watched several television programs recently in which the male homosexual referred to his partner as his wife.

My husband and I have watched several television programs recently in which the male homosexual referred to his partner as his wife. This misuse of a sexual term is offensive to me.

The dictionary defines the word wife as a woman. It is a vulgar insult to every woman, particularly those who have given birth, to have a person with male sexual organs called a wife.

The homosexual community found a specious constitutional right to gay marriage, but they do not have license, or a constitutional right, to redefine sexual gender words so that they can pretend that their relationships are the same as straight people.
