I would like to applaud Mr. Scannell’s letter in the Nov. 17 Kirkland Reporter supporting a Medicare-for-all health plan. I couldn’t agree more that free market will favor profit, not people’s health.
The same concept would apply to the environment. The current administration wants to dismantle the EPA, to deregulate environmental policy. They want to put regulation into the hands of corporations. How much trust do I have that corporations will put clean water and clean air ahead of profit? ZERO!
