Kudos to Kirkland Councilman Toby Nixon | Letter

Recently, when I was walking in the Kingsgate neighborhood of Kirkland, I had a nasty fall when I tripped on a raised section of the sidewalk on Northeast 142nd Street. I badly scraped both knees and hit my head on the ground, which broke my glasses.

Recently, when I was walking in the Kingsgate neighborhood of Kirkland, I had a nasty fall when I tripped on a raised section of the sidewalk on Northeast 142nd Street. I badly scraped both knees and hit my head on the ground, which broke my glasses.

I spoke to my Kirkland Councilman, Toby Nixon, at the time of the accident, and he was as concerned as I was that others might fall at this spot. He immediately contacted the Department of Public Works, and three days later called to say that the sidewalk had been repaired and marked with a white marker strip along with two other dangerous areas.

I really appreciate Toby’s concern and prompt action, and the very efficient way in which he is representing our newly annexed area.
