Kirkland-based Soundmark Wealth Management, LLC announced that Bill Schultheis and Todd Flynn have received the Five Star Wealth Management Award given to a select group of advisors by Seattle Magazine. The Five Star honor is given by clients and colleagues based on 9 criteria including customer service, expertise, value added and satisfaction with the results.

Recognizing the efficiency of capital markets, Soundmark Wealth Management, LLC, has built a strong tradition based on a unique investment philosophy that embraces this academic research. In building a globally diversified portfolio of low-cost index funds for Soundmark clients, Bill Schultheis stresses that, “any efforts to beat a bench mark average over the long haul is counterproductive to building wealth. The passive (index fund) style of investing that Soundmark integrates in portfolios allows clients to ignore the noise from Wall Street and focus on those things that are important in one’s life.”

Schultheis and Flynn point out that another significant advantage to Soundmark’s sophisticated investment philosophy is that it allows advisors to focus on the wealth planning issues that really matter to their clients such as tax efficiency, estate and tax planning, and insurance and healthcare needs. Soundmark has built relationships with a network of experts that include estate planning attorneys, insurance agents, CPAs, and other advisors. Flynn says, “In this challenging environment, it is our broad range of experience as CPAs and Certified Financial Planners, coupled with our professional connections that allow us to provide our clients with customizable solutions to meet all their wealth management needs. We understand that the big picture is not surviving the next year or two but thriving for decades to come regardless of market conditions.”
